Photoshop Projects

 For Photoshop Project number one I used many different tool to create this project. One of the tools that I used to Start this project was A text box to type in the letters ONW. Then I inserted the compass and I then sent it to the back (Behind thee letters ONW).  I also changed the opacity of the two objects to make them appear ghost like.

In Photoshop project number 2 I used the mask tool to choose the areas that I wanted to change the colors. I also used the clone stamp in this project, the clone stamp made the wings highlighted so that I knew where to put the color.

In photoshop project number 3 I used the masked typeface tool making the word NORTHWEST appear over the image and and allowing the picture of the school to appear through the letters.

Entail Logo

Logo Sketch 

1) The "Scope" of this project was to create a logo of our entails so that we can use it when we make future projects (like using a signature) or if we use it for a  business it would be on our cards and letter head and possibly on the front of our building(s).

2) This is not my original thought for my logo, originally I wanted to incorporate a lowercase g hanging off of a capital N.  That was for my first draft, my second draft changed the lower case g to the capital N being inside a Capital G as you can see in the pecan of my sketches.

3) While making my logo I have learned that it takes patience and time and also a lot of creativity to even make the smallest of things in graphic deisgn. I also got familiar  with my tools and adobe illustrator.

4) Next time I will probably take more time on my main idea, making it look more professional and look better.

5) Next time I will probably use my tools the same as I did while making my logo. I thought that this time I worked well with my tools.

6) Next time we are working on a project I will probably draw it more only in different ways.

7) I really like this project and I plan on using my logo for many things! I also really enjoy this class!

     For my logo I choose Starbucks logo. The colors of the logo are black, green. The green and black look very well together, the black compliments the green. The black outlines the and it makes the green POP! Starbucks "Mascot" is a mermaid in the center of its logo. I think that they choose it because I think that a mermaid symbolizes freedom and energy and I think that is why they choose it for their logo.

It is very important that companies use colors when advertising, it is on pleasing to the eye and two it looks more professional and can make their products (or service) stand out more and POP! making people attracted to it making it more likely that they buy their product or use their service.

This Quarter has been the best! I have enjoied video so much! I thought that it might be boring but I WAS WRONG! I made some new friends and I found an AWESOME TEACHER! I want to say thank you for teaching me all of these wonderful things about video that I can know use to make SPECTACULAR videos! My favorite things about this quarter where probably learning the 6 shot sequence and making the chase video!!!! It was so fun and we had to make multiple shots because I would laugh constantly in the shots!!!!! Thank you again SO MUCH!!! I hope that I have you next year in E-Comm class! I like Mr. Olsen so far and he seems funny!!! I am glad to have had you as a teacher! I was glad to get the chance to use all of the cool and expensive technology that our school provides us!!!! It was nice to get the hands on experience!

What did I learn? 

During this project I learned how to shoot a chase sense, and act in one. I also learned know keys that I can use to edit in Final Cut Pro. I also learned hoe to brighten up the color of a shot in my chase video.

What will you apply to your next project? 

In my next project I will use the keys that I learned to use when I am editing in Final Cut Pro. I will also use my new acting skills in my video if I am the actor again. 

How was collaboration different in this project from the last two projects?

It was different because We worked longer together when we where filming. We also put our creative minds together to set up the story. 

How could you improve collaboration in your next project? 

Well for one not be sick! But I will tell more of my thoughts to my group so that we can have more ideas to work with!

Six shot sequence

What did you learn ?:In this project I lean red how to put two videos using six shot sequence smoothly. I also learned how to use my blade tool correctly and more afficently.

What will you apply to your project?: In my next project I will use my next video I can collaborate two or more videos together. I can also edit better by using my arrow keys and blade tool. In my next project I can also make my video look and sound better by using ismfilms.com to put music or audio in my videos. I can also use effects in my next video.

Define Collaboration/ how did this apply to you group?: Collaboration-the action of working with someone to produce or create something.
In my group we used collaboration by one using three people total in my group and two I used collaboration by putting two six shot sequence videos together.

1)The six shot sequences are "Close up of the hands, over the shoulder, medium shot, wide shot, extra wide shot." 

2)I learned how to shoot the six shot sequence.

3) For my next project I will take more shots for my project and I will make sure that they are longer than 10-20 seconds, so when I am editing I have more footage to use when I edit.

My personality type is called ESFJ. Extroverted, Sensing, Felling, Judging.  I can be friendly and expressive. I am a hands on kind of person, I am a sensitive, caring, generous, and nurturing person. I like to be organized. I am like Pope Francis, Harry Truman, Sam Walton ( Founder of Walmart), Gerald Ford, and Colin Powell

1) I think that the test was kind of right, I do not think that I am practical, matter-of-fact, efficient i do not like routines I don not like logical ways , and I do not think that I am forceful.

2) Yes and No, it has helped me realized why it is so easy for me to talk to different types of people, because I am the kind of person that can always find a topic to talk about.

When I am on a team I tend to be the talker or the "Co-leader" of the team, If it is homework if we do not get it done I like to get done and fast. In my family it is just three of us, my Dad, Mom, and I. In my family I think that i am the peace keeper between the family, because my dad can kind of be of mean when he gets stressed so I get to keep the peace and be the family psychologist (which docent happen that much cause there are not many fights!).

The reason that I choose this hobby is because over the summer I began to volunteer at Great Plains SPCA Animal Shelter. This Summer I worked at their summer camp for kids, I made videos for them while they here at camp. While I was at camp I made some new friends! Bailey and Allison and now they are like my sisters. They like to embarrass me and make me laugh (I have the weirdest laugh!).
I also made an older friend who is like my boss, she is like another mother to me. I now have a home away from home. That is why I choose this for my hobby! This summer I spent more time at Great Plains SPCA then I did at home or with any of my friends! I also adopted a new dog from there this summer! Overall Great Plains is an AWESOME place and I encourage you to volunteer or adopt from Great Plains SPCA!
